  从前有个鲁国人，他想进城卖竹子。但他发现竹竿太长，竖着拿不进去。

  Once upon a time,there was a native of Lu who wanted to sell bamboo in the city.But he found that the bamboo pole was too long to go in.

  于是他把竹竿横过来，但是还是拿不进去。

  So he crossed the bamboo pole,but still couldn't get it in.

  正当他愁眉不展，不知道该怎么办的时候，一个老头走过来，告诉他只要把竹竿截成两段就可以拿进城门了。

  Just as he was frowning and didn't know what to do,an old man came up and told him that he could take the bamboo pole into two sections and enter the city gate.

  鲁国人一听，觉得是个好办法。于是，立马借来了锯子，将竹子截成两段。

  The people of Lu thought it was a good way.So he borrowed a saw and cut the bamboo into two sections.

  最后，鲁国人拿着截好的两段竹子成功进了城。

  In the end,the people of Lu successfully entered the city with two pieces of bamboo.
